Thursday: An Evening at the Shulgin Farm

The State(s) of Psychedelic Storytelling: Past, Present, and Future
Thursday, November 5 · 5–9 PM PT · Lafayette, California

The Psychedelic Writers Guild presents The State(s) of Psychedelic Storytelling: Past, Present, and Future, an evening at the Shulgin Farm in Lafayette, California, Thursday, November 5, 5-9 PM PT

Some of the most influential writing in psychedelic history was done on one farm in Lafayette, California. Sasha and Ann Shulgin's work there shaped how generations understood these substances, and the people who use them.

This Thursday, during Global Psychedelic Week, the Psychedelic Writers Guild is bringing writers, editors, filmmakers and researchers back to that farm to ask where psychedelic storytelling has been, and where it needs to go.

  • 5:00 PM: Doors open, check-in and informal networking
  • 5:30 PM: Opening remarks
  • 5:35 PM: Tour of the Shulgin Farm and lab, led by Lucid News co-founder Annie Oak Harrison
  • 6:30 PM: Food and drinks
  • 7:30 PM: Panel: The State(s) of Psychedelic Storytelling
  • 8:15 PM: Networking, music and community

Panelists: Annie Oak Harrison (Lucid News), Mareesa Stertz (filmmaker, Lucid News and Global Psychedelic Society) and Lindsay Kent ("The Hallucinarrator", filmmaker and author of My Twin the Murderer).

Getting there: The venue holds only about 50 people and has just 23 parking spots, so please rideshare or carpool.
