Join The Psychedelic Writers Guild during Global Psychedelic Week this November for a rare lab tour, catered dinner, and storytelling panel.

The Psychedelic Writers Guild is THRILLED to announce a very special upcoming gathering next month.

On Thursday, November 5, 2026, The Psychedelic Writers Guild is heading to Lafayette, California, to present "The State(s) of Psychedelic Storytelling: Past, Present, and Future."

This gathering is part of Global Psychedelic Week, a worldwide celebration of psychedelic education, community, and culture.

Hosted at the historic Shulgin Farm, this donation-based evening is designed to foster meaningful, in-person engagement among plant medicine advocates, wellness leaders, policy voices, and community builders. We are proud to present this event in partnership with The Shulgin Foundation, Lucid News, Psychedelic State(s) of America, Global Psychedelic Week, Work in Psychedelics, and DoubleBlind.

What to Expect

To ensure an intimate and high-quality experience, capacity is strictly capped at a maximum of 50 attendees. The evening's programming will include:

• Farm & Lab Tour: A rare, guided tour of the Shulgin Farm and Lab led by Lucid News Executive Editor Annie Oak Harrison and Chief Science Officer Dr. Paul Daley.
• Storytelling Panel: A core discussion on the future of psychedelic media and advocacy, hosted by PWG founder Jack Gorsline.
• Community Connection: A catered dinner, live music, and curated networking under the stars.

Crucial Arrival & Parking Information

Because of the historic and secluded nature of the venue, there are only 23 parking spots available.

Utilizing a rideshare service is absolutely necessary for the success of this event and to respect the local neighborhood.

If you are driving, please follow these exact directions:

As you head north on Pleasant Hill Rd, you'll crest a hill and start going downhill - slow way down and turn right onto Shulgin Rd (which is in the middle of a blind curve and is easy to miss!). If you reach the Taylor/Geary split, you've gone too far.

Follow Shulgin Rd. to the end; you'll see two home complexes. Shulgin Farm is up the right driveway, but please park along Shulgin Rd., making sure to leave enough space for other cars to pass on the road.
