What makes home "home" — even if you're far away from it? Join us on Saturday, October 17 at Filmtheater Colosseum for a special night of short documentaries exploring the themes of belonging, identity, and displacement. Doors open at 6pm for complimentary falafel, refreshments, and mingling. Stick around after the screening for a Q&A with the filmmakers! Lineup: Jacob's House, directed by Lucas Kane Existimos en la Memoria, directed by Darian Woehr Placekeepers, directed by Robert Hope The Cat Man Eshete, directed by Laura Checkoway From an exploration of what defines a house, to rebuilding visions of home through memory, to a remote Georgian community grappling with their place in the world, and an Ethiopian refugee who's a devoted caretaker of a feral cat colony in New York City, these true stories offer a moving look at home and belonging.
