About this event
From employment and demographic changes to city development and culture, higher education shapes the future of every community, but to many of us, it’s just a lofty umbrella term for people who attend expensive four year colleges and elite universities. This belief disconnects citizens from their local colleges, fuels skepticism, and prevents people from getting information they need to engage with these powerful actors in their communities. But we can change that. You know your audience well. With help, you can provide them with relevant factual information they need to navigate these systems. You’ll hear from an expert journalist at Open Campus, a nonprofit news organization that ensures communities have the independent information they need about higher ed.
