So you’ve launched your nonprofit newsroom. Now what? Join John S. Adams of the Montana Free Press and Chris Cobler of the Fort Worth Report for a group discussion on lessons they’ve learned by launching their newsrooms. During the one-hour gathering\, John and Chris will offer tips on: \ \ Building a strong board\ Developing a business plan and diversifying revenue streams\ Creating a membership funnel\ Best practices for reaching your audience through newsletters\ Building a database infrastructure that works for you\ \ About John: Montana Free Press was founded by veteran award-winning investigative and political reporter John S. Adams. John was formerly the Capital Bureau Chief of the Great Falls Tribune and a correspondent for USA TODAY. John is known as a dogged investigator and the host of the MT Lowdown podcast whose unbiased reporting has changed the shape of Montana politics. He is a longtime daily newspaper leader who started his career as a reporter in his hometown at the Topeka (Kan.) Capital-Journal and then worked at newspapers in Colorado\, South Dakota and Texas.
